Auburn Redyard, Sydney

Auburn Redyard shopping centre located in western Sydney has undergone a redevelopment that includes custom outdoor furniture supplied by Quatro Design. The centre, anchored by Reading Cinemas, now has a new outdoor alfresco precinct open for lunch and night-time dining.

 

Sydney-based landscape architectural firm, Ground Ink, incorporated custom-seating into the alfresco precinct design that included circular seats fitted around tall trellis frames for climbing plants.  Quatro Design worked with Ground Ink in refining the seating design which included recesses moulded around the base to incorporate LED strip lighting.

 

Quatro Design manufactured the custom straight and curved seating in GRC concrete.  To fit around the trellis frames, each of the round seats were made in three segments that are bolt-fixed together to form a complete circle.

 

The custom seating was installed by Renascent Australia, the builder on the redevelopment project.

 

The Australian Institute of Landscape Architects also did a feature on the professional lighting done with this installation. The lighting installation has transformed this space at night. Read more here.
