A range of large Quatro Design GRC concrete planters have been installed in the outdoor area of the recently-opened Older Persons Mental Health Service ward at Flinders Hospital in Adelaide. The new 30-bed service is part of a $185.5 million upgrade to the hospital.
The outdoor area features several Quatro 2300 Designer Bowls and 2750 Soul seat planters, as well as a number of trough planters in different sizes. The 2300 Bowls were made using CCS ‘Ruby Red’ mineral oxide to achieve the red colour. The grey planters were made with CCS ‘Pewter’ mineral oxide, and the white planters were made using pure white cement.
The planters were supplied to Outside Ideas, an Adelaide-based landscaping company, which installed and planted them out.
